Dr. Surjit Tarafdar is a Staff Specialist in the departments of Medical Assessment Unit and Nephrology at the Blacktown Hospital and a conjoint senior lecturer in Medicine at the University of Western Sydney.
He has a keen interest in academics which is exemplified by his multiple teaching awards. Dr. Tarafdar conceptualized and co-authored the 1st edition of “Passing the FRACP Written Examination- Questions and Answers” published by Wiley-Blackwell in October 2013. He has recently completed editing a book titled “Nephrology – Lecture Notes”, due to be published by Wiley Publications in November 2019.
In 2019, the Nephrology Department at the University of Malaya has invited Dr. Tarafdar to replicate the Revise Nephrology at Kaula Lumpur.
Dr. Tarafdar also conceived and established the 1st annual Australia and New Zealand General Medicine Update in 2019. The event was attended by 110 attendees which included general medicine Consultants and Trainees.
